Hey Everyone, I have recently been having an issue during my cuts on my CrossfireXR. I am running a Hypertherm Powermax105. Recently, my torch has been dragging on the metal during a cut, without any sort of error, warning or message besides the IHS light turning on. This is ruining my cuts and has even damaged my consumables. I have the cut heights and springback set to the recommendations from the Hypertherm manual, but I am at a loss at what I can do. The cut will start at the appropriate height, and then begin dragging on the stock. I thought this was do to my table being uneven, but as far as I can tell, everything is level. I am attaching a photo of the cuts so you can see how the path gets affected. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Have you checked the THC wire connections at THC module and table controller? check That IHC switch tang isn’t touching Z axis screw and push up on torch mount should move up slightly and come down on own when let go.
Thanks for sharing, it is definitely helpful! I contacted LS support and they determined I had a voltage issue, as my active voltage was 230-250v. They are sending me a new IHS cable so I am hoping that my issue will be resolved. I will update this post when I receive the new cable to hopefully help others in the future!
