That looks pretty nice. Any chance you’ll be uploading the files to Fireshare once you get it built and proven?
Bro… you’re going to be the one to watch when it comes to cool stuff being made on the titan. You’re making a freaking toolbox? Outstanding.
I’ll probably share, just depends on how much time I have. Hardest part isn’t the files, it’s the directions and questions that take up the time. Maybe I’ll post them and just say it works, but you’re on your own
Thanks man! Yeah I love this stuff so there will be a few cool things coming up.
That’d be fair. As long as you have the bend lines on the dxf files and tell us which die set to use, we should be able to handle it from there.
I see holes for mounting slides… where did you source the slides and how did you design to account for their size? McMaster files?
They are just 16" standard slides from home depot. 100lbs a pair
You might think about using 2 pairs per drawer for the larger 2 drawers. They’re going to be HEAVY when fully loaded and they’ll slide much smoother if they’re not on the ragged edge of their capacity.
I’ll see how it goes. But you’re right worse case I’ll add another set.
I’m thinking about making a dimple die, lower and upper die holder.
Might buy a $200 dimple set on ebay and give it a try.
you haven’t even built it yet and are already answering questions and design concerns. good luck! I will find mine at Harbor Freight. just kidding. My first tool box would be inside out like the corner piece shown so I will stick to simpler tasks for a while.
Well got about 4 hours in tonight on the tool box. Had everything cut and cleaned up so all I did was form and start the fab.
Looking really good so far. Can’t wait for my back gauge to show up so I can start making pretty bends like that.
With the new software patch everything I’d working really good. You’re really going to like it.
I agree the machine is working very well. I’m still bumping through some of the settings and menus, but for the most part, it’s great.
Langmuir, we need workflow videos.
All in all, you can figure it out.
Maybe @custommetalmke will post videos of
the workflow settings. I believe he is the 25T Huckleberry right now.
Man, That is a Great Part…Fantastic job.
I could try and put something together. Maybe how I create my model and prints and then out to the machine.
That’s what I’m talking about. You can be the TinWhisperer of bending.
All kidding aside. That would be awesome.
i really this level of bending. Ethan great job! Do you mind sharing which punch and die you utilized? I recently received our email to pay our balance and processed the payment immediately. Can’t wait to get ours! Thanks again and keep up the awesome content
this is awesome! do you mind sharing which punch and die you utilized for this?
