The slowest MR1 build...in the world

I had bought some wax for machining, so I melted that down at 270* for 3 hours. Forbidden lasagna.

The first big part is a tophat for a car. Been through a few printed design iterations and I think it’s changed slightly from this model, but it’s mostly the same. Messed up a height on the lathe, hence the one weird unfinished step, but the way it was wrong was in the right direction, so it wasn’t the end of the world, I’ll get it right on the other ones. I made 4/6 sides square on the wax and started machining the first side. Went super well and the tool changes were seamless. Had some issues with the software on the second side which I detailed in the cut control features thread, so I haven’t finished it yet, but the mill sure is cool. Looking forward to actually making it in aluminum!

Overall, the mill is pretty awesome. It seems to cut very well and we’re very happy with it. Very much looking forward to pushing it some more and pushing our abilities of what we can design/make at home
