There is nothing special with the raised center section. I was just messing with my manual mill playing with radius’. 
I used the 90deg switch because the one Bigdaddy is referring to was on backorder. I think it is one part number off from what he posted. Should be able to find on Automation Direct. The 90 degree worked out great actually.
