I am having a problem and need some help. I am cutting 16 gauge stainless. Everything goes great and I have the thc, but when the material starts to warp and the thc checks it and goes along it raises but once it gets over the hump it does not come back down and stops I don’t know what to do help
How big a hump?
Post your post processor settings please
Pierce delay,
Pierce Height
Cut Height
Cut speed
Are you using Smart or Nominal voltage with the THC in FireContol?
Hey man thank you for the response it was 16 gauge stainless the hump came up prob a good inch in the middle it was honestly fine until it started doing the boarder of the lil sign I made. Let me look up the settings real fast, also using smart voltage
Cut height, 0.63
Ihs spring back, 0.02
Ihs, checked
Pierce delay, 0.5
Pierce heigh, 0.15
Retract height, 1
Thc, checked
Have you measured the actual cut height with feeler gauges to verify .063?
1" is a pretty severe hump, might need to adjust the sample rate to compensate for that.
Is your computer plugged into a grounded outlet?
Watch your live voltage numbers and let us know what those are.
Raising on longer cuts is a classic symptom of a plugged in laptop causing interference.
He said it was rising because of warpage but after the warped area did not come back down
Yeah but he also said it was fine until the longer cut, so I’m looking at that as well. Could be connected.
I just reread this and dont see that anywhere, am I missing something?
Borders are usually longer cuts. These are the same symptoms I had when I had my computer plugged in as well.
Ok I saw Little sign and did not think there would be any long cuts. I guess it all comes down to what’s a long cut on a little sign
In fact is that not a oxymoron?
Ok, I’ll let you handle this one.
Upon checking the picture the computer was not plugged in. Also, the length of the sign was 2’. So it bowed up in the middle which it did rise for but after that it never came back down. It just kept going until the plasma lost connection. I reset the cut and tried it again with the same outcome
