during cut voltage displays more or less around 130v ; nominal set at 72 !!
during cut : “active light” and “down light” are on and off / flicker ;
v 21.1.5 ; LS-THC v1.10 ; crossfire v1.3ls

Does it have the ability to go lower without tripping the IHS switch?
If you have it set at 72 and it’s reading 130, it should be trying to drive the torch through the plate.
What are you cutting that needs 72v nominal? Most metal thicknesses result in a voltage of 120-130v at .06" cut height.

72volt is the Hypertherm recipe for 20 gauge finecut low speed on steel. It on 30 amp.
but I think I may have put the wrong nozzle… I will check.
Found the cause of the error… looking in the mirror ! 
I did not put the FineCut nozzle. When corrected all was ok. Thanks for your involvement.
