I’ve been running the same set up for a few years now and recently in the middle of a cut my z axis will raise up to the point the voltage drops and error message pops up. Anyone else had any issues like this?
Check the IHS switch in the Z axis for loose or broken wires. If the green IHS light comes on while cutting, that means the circuit is open. When that circuit opens, due to the switch opening, or loose/broken wires, the Z axis will rise to prevent a crash. It will keep rising, as long as the IHS circuit is open or until the torch flames out.

Matthew, exactly what @ds690 said.
We see this issue occur from time to time on the FB group and often times for long-time users, it’s gunk and/or build-up on the leadscrew or gunk on the IHS contacts that set it off prematurely.
I’ve even seen a case where the loop holder and wires for the IHS get caught (specifically when it would jog down/up during IHS), and prematurely set off the IHS switch.
