I am having issues getting my 240 outlet installed and need to temporarily work off of standard 110 outlet. I ordered a couple of inverters for 110 to 220 has anyone else used them? I am trying to source a cable so I can plug the spindle into the inverter but I am having troubles can anyone help me out.
This is the inverter that I have
(Inverter)
Yinleader 2000W Voltage Converter Transformer(110V to 220V OR 220V to 110V) 2000 Watt Step Up/Down Converter 110/120 Volt - 220/240 Volt w/US Power Cord,Circuit Breaker Protection (VTUS-2000)
I think i already have the same one (or pretty similar) the question is what cable i need to plug the spindle into the inverter it states that it includes “all required power cords” i don’t know what those are.
I believe the back of the MR1 has an IEC C19/20 plug interface for the spindle. So you would need a plug that matches your transformer on the other end. Did your transformer come with any cords at all? Ive never used one, but I always assumed they had standard NEMA receptacles.
It has the same plug as the one sold by Langmuir I just don’t have the plug for between the inverter and the machine I have the plug that goes from the wall (110) to the inverter I just need to get the 220 from the inverter to the machine.
So, Im looking at the front of that transformer and I cant make heads or tails out of that plug pattern. It looks like it can accept both 6-15 and 6-20 plugs, but im not sure. I mean, typically if the manufacturer calls for a 15 amp 120v receptacle, you wouldnt have a transformer that could produce 15 amps at 240v, so a 15 amp plug would be sufficient. The other end of the cord you have linked is correct. If they make the same cord in a 6-15, id get both and send the wrong one back to Amazon, haha.
