Doing a spindle break in and the noise coming from the spindle doesn’t sound correct. Popping and cracking noise. I stopped it at 3000 rpm. Any guesses?
I would pull the covers off and make sure there’s no debris in there with the belt.

Maybe take off the drive belt and spin the spindle with your hand. That will tell you if you have a bearing issue. Just a note, I warm up my spindle for 5 to 10 minutes before trying to cut anything. By the way welcome to the club.
