I’m doing a new build where all the wires will be on a swinging gantry above the mill. However doing this I need to extend out some of the wires. The limit switches and hoses are all easy to open up and make new wires for but the spindle plugs with the “fancy” ends on them I don’t know how to deal with. Maybe someone makes an extension cord for it? It didn’t look like I can disconnect the wire from the spindle itself so I can’t extend the wire properly. Also would making the wire longer (about 2-3’) have any side effect to operation?

Make sure that the control box ends is the correct one. You will have to change the plug on the end of this new cord.
I will look at mine in the morning and report back with a solution.
Ok, the cord Langmuir uses is a special cord that has an IEC-type connector on the control box ends.
They have made this with a 6-50 Nema plug on the other end. You must get a short 250v extension cord and put the correct 6/50 plug and receptacle on the other.
Sorry, unless you eliminate the IEC connection, you are limited to that.

Story of my life… it’s always harder than I think it is haha. I’ll look into those suggestions tomorrow for sure. And I’ll have to do some machups to see just how much I need to go the least distance necessary. Thank you bigdaddy you’re a superstar on this site. This will work and is available in different lengths. Just plug it in to the Langmuir Power cord
