Sheet cam firecontrol problems

Seriously? I guarantee the employees of Langmuir have far more important things to focus on than making fake accounts and trolling those who need help. @jamesdhatch helped you after you were in need of help…if anything he deserves a thank you.

As I see it you purchased a system with little to no research, demanded help due to that lack of research and your perception of the system being plug and play, the community stepped up to help, and you are still somehow ungrateful.

I hate to get in the middle of things, but so far I have learned a ton from this community. Thanks to all who take time from their days for the good of all. I do appreciate it.

@mehansen81 - I agree! This forum community has a lot of experienced people and most share their knowledge. I appreciative each and every one of you! Coming from a technical background, I’m constantly amazed at at the diverse knowledgebase here. Guess that’s why I am addicted to reading topics and replies. Have a Great Day! " #All Good!"

Again the response was in my email, and I thought it was from Langmuir. I didn’t realize jamesdhatch was a troll and a rude one at that . And you are right you should hate to get tin the middle of this , it is none of your business. But then most socialist bent type of people are constantly " standing up for other people" …mind you own …

So jamesdhatch is a double agent for LS or a secret agent? Jamesdhatch has helped me many times solve many self induced problems i created. Anyone who doubts his knowledge is just losing out on valuable knowledge. Some of us kids just dont pay close attention to the teacher. Im one of them. So hats off to jamesdhatch 007.5 :sunglasses::male_detective:

Gentlemen, I started this thread asking for help. In no way did I intend for it to become a flaming dumpster fire of personal attacks.

It is clear that there are a variety of opinions and personalities here and for each person that has contributed to assist, I appreciate that.

For the other 95% of this thread, none of us are any better for having read it.

While you’re entitled to your opinion, I don’t believe you’re entitled to your own set of “facts”. @Vonzep had a problem that started this thread & a number of us pointed him to the solution. He asked for help and got it.

You hijacked his post with your THIS IS JUST TYPICAL OF LANGMUIR…and erroneous assertions (“sheetcam post processor isn’t compatible”, “you can’t post process in 360”) as well as stating what you wanted the programs to do was what they should do. That’s uninformed and arrogant.

One of us has spent 2 hrs on the forum. The other has spent 12 days of read time (12*24hrs) over 880 days (that would be from the start) and read virtually every post (over 37K) and provided 2300 posts of which 1600 were appreciated by someone.

Neither of us is a Langmuir employee.

I’m honored that so many folks have jumped in to my defense and I find it trollish of you to jump on them for doing that including telling them to mind their own business when you’re posting in an open forum.

Since you don’t find value in my posts, you can set the forum to mute them (not notify you) or even hide them (you won’t see them at all). Simply click on my avatar, then click on the button labeled “Normal” under the Message button and change it to Mute or Hidden. Then you can live blissfully free of any of my trollish posts

Mr. Jamesdhatch, you just keep up the good work in helping others because as for me; the help you have offered was very appreciated. And as I said in an earlier post, I ask questions when needed. I enjoy reading this forum, it seems that I almost always learn something new. Thanks to everyone that has helped others like me!

Most all of us do. Lots of guys doing things with their Crossfires that are cool. I’m paying attention to some of the experiments with using a scriber and a pen in place of the head. Really nice variety of designs for table accessories or mods. There’s always someone doing something and some of the shops some guys have are just way too neat - makes me jealous

I’m really impressed by the guys who have never done anything with CNC (like lasers or routers/mills) and jump into this and work hard learning Fusion or other app to make things they never thought they could. I’ve been doing CAD/CAM for a long time with different CNC machines so it wasn’t as big a leap for me but there are guys here who are starting from zero and in only a few months are experts.

OK boys and girls, lets not be throwing stones until we know ALL of the facts. With that being said, I have found that sheetcam will help you out with a number of things like little spots in your design that will be cut even if it small. So take the time and seeing as we are in the middle of a pandemic, and watch the tutoreals (sp) for sheet cam. I takes a few hours and ,yes , you have to watch them a few times. So please stop the bickering or the hate stuff and learn.

Here’s a link to Arclight’s Sheetcam tutorial playlist. They’re out of order in the list but easy enough to pick the one you want and then the next.
