Can scanything be installed on my crossfire pro anybody familiar with it ?? Or has installed it and how does it work ??? Any info ?? Thanks Dave
Hi Dave… Yes, I do believe it can be done… I had a little email back and forth with an expert( @TomWS )on this topic and afterwards, thought this is something I’d like try and do…
Scanything runs on machines using Mach3 which is fine. We just need to control our steppers with a Mach3 compatible board then(Our PRO boards currently aren’t)… Pretty cheap to buy the board… If you don’t have Mach3, that would be another purchase… add a camera…a switch or two…etc…
I was going to start after this not long ago but, have run out of time before out of town work has me running circles for the next 2 months or so… I won’t get to it until July or after…
If you pursue this, please keep us all in the loop…!! I know there are a couple of us that would like to do it !!
Perhaps @LesNewell will chime in here as well…??
Les said you have to have Mach3 to do it wont work with our system…
Oh yeah —for sure…! This wouldn’t be a “plug and play” type of scenario which I’m sure would be attractive. But, the effort I listed above would bear fruit… Just takes a little effort.
If I end up getting a chance to implement this, I’ll post a report!
That would be great…
Just might be pursuing this one finally… Stay tuned…
