Looking at replacing my 20 year old lincoln 225 tig for one of these.

Best welder I’ve ever had. No shit, and I have had them all. I also have an Everlast 315 LX with Nova Bluetooth pedals and Everlast watercoolers that plug right into the back of the machine. My mig machine is a Lincoln 260 power mig.
My favorite machine was a Miller 350 Syncrowave. The Everlast is very close and not a transformer type. Being able to turn up the hertz to 500 is a great option that the Miller couldn’t offer. You won’t regret this purchase. If you plan on welding above 250 amps, you will need a cooler. The water-cooled torch I recommend is below with 1/8 consumables—just my two cents. I love spending other people’s money. Ask Jimmy.

Everlast is currently selling the 315LX Tig for $1699. It is an awesome industrial machine.

If you use my link to purchase your Everlast welder you’ll also get “a free nova torch and pedal upgrade for any tig machine that comes standard with a foot pedal at time of shipping”

Also the CK Woldwide torches are great. I have one on my tig machine. Love the flex head.

Thanks for the previous experience Bigdaddy, I love how you make me say that name…well done. My lincoln is tired. I started out with the miller syncrowave 250 doing aviation welding.

Thats amazing and thanks for the link and taking care of people in the community!

Im rocking the standard hobart iron man 230 for mig.

Mrs likes saying it while I hand over the Amex card.

The biggest advantage is the frequency adjustment, which is a great help when thin aluminum welding is required. The only downside is that your tungsten will split and get nasty on high amps with the inverter machine. The old transformer didn’t have that problem. The reason will probably read like a NYC phonebook.

Have you used this new chartreuse tunsten?

Ive heard reviews but still old school mix

I have been using 2% blue for 25 years. Rare earth purple also works well for all-around use.
I get Midwest Tungsten to make me 3" - 20-degree sharpened stingers 50 at a time.

Awesome and thanks!

I take it you have had good luck with the PW machine? I hadn’t seen your review on it yet. It’s now been about a year right?

No issues. We’ve done a couple big aluminum projects and it hasn’t screwed up. The TIG welding on those benches we built were done with this machine. Some of that welding was Pulse Mig that was done with another machine (miller 255). For a large TIG welder it serves our purposes.

I’ll see if I can get my business partner to write up a “review” as he sees it. He’s the one who holds the torch on that machine.

I have the PW 225. I don’t have near as much experience as BigDaddy, but for a hobby guy, this thing has been great. I wanted the analog (for lower repair cost) and the layout made it easy for me to learn the function of each feature.

It’s a great machine. No doubt about it.
Definitely a great option. Good American service to.
