Has anyone else had problems with the toy limit switches. I have a crossfire xl at home and we have a titan 25 ton press at work, The limit switches are terrible. On the titan the x axis the switches work. On the R axis they are crap at best working one or two times then get the message “did not detect second limit switch”. Has anyone looked at Prox switches or a industrial limit switches.
same - I think the metal extenders that trigger the mirco switch might exacerbate the problem. Every time I square the backguage off of the die, the backguage self aligns itself out of square off the limit switches. backguage will not stay square to the die no matter how many times I square it. I get error codes from the limits 30% of the time - this takes hours of time.
For those of you who are not on the Facebook group “ Langmuir Systems Titan 25T Owners” take a look at info below. One of the members has designed and tested a set of industrial limit switches for last 6 months with great results. It’s not a cheep fix but it will be a permanent fix. Feel free to reach out to him thru his website for upgrade kit.
The Facebook group got the idea from here: from the MR1 switch replacement. Bigdaddy won’t use Facebook, nor do they want me to. But I will say that @custommetalmke is one hell of a sheet metal bender…
I also purchased the same switches. Almost 60 each which I would have gladly gave LS. The only reason to buy the limit switch kit is the wiring. The rest is junk. Want to share your .STL files? The switches I bought are Metrol PN#CS067B-LR an CS067B.
