So is it better to rescale a purchased cut file in fusion 360 or fire cut before cutting. Some files I have problems with the torch stopping due to not enough torch clearance. It hits blank areas and shuts off. Some files I purchase are huge and need to be reduced, some are too small and need to be increased in size.
Like most things it depends.
My preference is to have the file completely ready to cut by the time it leaves Fusion.
It sounds more like a location problem on the material you’re cutting. You need to make sure you reset your work origin so you have enough cutting Room.
Some of this problem could be because of some files being made in metric and some files being made in inches.
Either way I would still have everything ready in Fusion before it sends over to fire control
" Scale entire sketch at first dimension" is a great preference to have turned on for these kind of files in Fusion.
