Hey all. Sorry if this has already been posted but I did some searching and couldnt find the same cutter as mine for wiring. I purchased a ProPoint 45A plasma cutter for my new to me Crossfire 2x2 table. It unfortunately does not have the cnc port on it. I had to purchase the whip end separately and just got a generic one. The pinouts on the whip plug do not match up with the connections on the machine end. Ive isolated the whip pins for my trigger wires, but was hoping someone may be able to guide me on locating the mating pin locations on the machine end? Just not sure how to cycle the machine to run a meter across pins without potentially damaging my new machine. I can post photos of both ends tonight. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
That machine is just a Razorweld 45 with a different label and no CNC ports.
What whip are you referring to? The torch lead?
You should be able to find wiring directions for the older Razorweld machines on the forum or in the Langmuir assembly instructions.
yes sorry, the torch lead. Thanks for the info. Ill check that out
With the torch lead unplugged, find the two pins that only have continuity when the trigger is depressed.
The lead only connects one way to the machine, so find the matching pins on the machine connector.
Take the cover off the machine and splice into the two wires that go to those pins.
The instructions are all the way at the end of the crossfire assembly instructions on the support page.
Yes I’ve done that on the torch lead and found the trigger wires, my problem is I have a generic lead that is not the same wiring pin locations as my machine. I am having trouble locating the pin outs on the machine side to match up. I don’t want to mess up anything internal.
Do you mean that your machine didn’t come with a torch?
@mechanic416 can probably help you with where the pins should go for a Razorweld machine.
correct. I bought it as machine only on a deal and got the torch lead and earth cable from separate suppliers. Thank you for the info so far.
Got my machine apart for the torch fire wiring and hopefully to get my hand torch trigger wires moved. Does anyone know how to depot these to move to the proper spots? Or am I just SOL? Pins 1 and 2 on the torch end are the triggers and 1 and 6 on the machine as far as I can tell. (Sorry, new to this and not sure how to link or attach photos of my machine ends)
Pins 1 and 9 are the pilot arc pins and 3 and 6 are trigger pins for the hand torch and all you need is pins 1 and 9 for a machine torch as a machine torch has no trigger.
Ok thanks. Any idea on how to depin and move pins on the hand torch? Pins don’t line up from my hand torch to my machine due to it being a separate purchase from the machine itself.
Take the euro connector apart and slid the cover and nut back up the hose. Lightly pull the wires out of the back of the pins. With a small pair of pliers pull the pins out the front of the connector and push them into the number ports they need to be in. Then push the wires back into the back of the pins were they go. Make sure they are bushed all the way into the pins. Put the euro connector back together. 1 and 9 should be long pins and 3 and 6 should be short pins but it really doesn’t matter on 3 and 6.
