Problem with etch

Any one have a problem when thy etch there SD card and the system will not boot up ? I did by a new card and etched that one so I would always have the oringal one just incase. I did it twice and nothing - it will not boot up. Interesting - try another card ? whats you guys thought - I did get a 512 gb Scandisk card from walmart - but i did not relise it was only a V30

The word is that anything over 128 GB does not work

You have to format the new card before etching it. Just went through this my self. Langmuir should add this to the instructions.

Thanks. Also Sandisk doesn’t like the software for some reason from what I’ve seen.

ok update - the 512 card from walmart did not work scan disk . I got a 512 V60 Sabrent card - no good. - good thing i did not use the oringal lol. So I am still running for now. what do you all think ? I am using the recomended software Balena Langmuir recomended. I am going to order sone 128 cards and see what they do. - I have tried everything i can think of. I re flashed both of them several times. I will say the scan disk did nothing - but the other one started to boot then got hung up. What else can i throw at this ? I am already 150 bucks deep in cards - but will do what ever it takes. Thoughts ? Elevatemetalcraft - you mentioned formatting the card - I can not see that option in the Balena software - nore can i see the card on my computer when its pluged in –

Sam @ Langmuir sent me a new SD card flashed with the updated software, worked fine!

I went through the same thing. Tried several high-dollar Micro cards with both Balena and tried Win32. They would never boot up. Sam sent me one, and it worked. Not sure what the issue is, or if the Orange Pi has a problem.

I just called them and they are getting me one right out today. Wish i did that from the start lol. I never thought i would have that mouch trouble. Problem will be solved in a few days. Good thing i did not wipe the orngial one out. So i am still using the machine
