To give you a better understanding of successfully cutting a part/art there are 3 steps and apps needed.
1st - CAD is an app such as Fusion 360, Solid Edge, or Inkscape, etc. that allows you to draw & create your part/art and saved in a “.dxf” or “.svg” file.
2nd - CAM is an app such as in Fusion 360 or sheetcam that allows you load the dxf or svg files to create your tool paths & generates your G-code and it saves it then in a “.tap” file.
NOTE: Fusion is both a Cad/Cam app and Sheetcam is only a Cam app.
3rd - MACH 3 or FIRE CONTROL depending on the machine you have (Mach 3 for the original Crossfire and Fire Control for the original CF-gen2 & Pro machine) allows you to load the G-code (.tap) in the app then once started the app sends the information to the control box then starts cutting.
Hope this helps to give you a better understanding of the whole process needed.
Good Luck!:+1:
