Order Timing For New Shipments

I received the same notification for box 3 to be delivered January 4th. Order 185XX placed September 21st. Hoping the other two boxes ship in December.

So box 3 arrived yesterday, and I can see another 68lb box (box 1?) has had a label created (I can see shipments coming to be via my UPS account) however I have not seen a notification from Langmuir yet and UPS has not picked up the box. Nothing on box 2 or the THC. Looks like they missed getting my table shipped this month. I missed a great window of time here for setting up and learning the table with being off the last 2 weeks. Will be going back to work next week and will have limited time other than small windows of time in the evenings and weekends.

Since I’m a hundred orders down the line from you, I’m hoping mine get’s shipped in January.

Hang in there guys. A lot of fun is awaiting you. (And frustration…oh yes)

It looks like another label for a 120lbs box (frame?) showed up over the weekend, but similar to the other label, has not been picked up yet. Based on some of the previous comments, it seems labels get generated several days before they actually go out. Guessing this will show up sometime the week of the 11th.

For folks that ordered THC - did that ship separately as a 4th box?

Mine came in a separate box, USPS.

For me it was a separate box

Ironically I got a notification from USPS today that a shipment from Langmuir was being delivered today, looks like that is the THC as 4th box. Still no movement on box 1 and 2 through UPS tracking. I was hopeful they might show up by the weekend, but shipping from CA to WI is usually 4-5 days, so that is wishful thinking.

Did you end up TIG welding your pan? How did it turn out? I am thinking about tacking from the inside and then flipping and welding from the outside.

I ended up MIG welding my pan. Why? Because I don’t have a TIG and on top of that, I never even thought about it being stainless until after I started tacking around and saw my weld/bead quality. It did okay, not great, but no leaks. Warping was a bit of an issue, even with stitching and moving around to avoid heat build up…but my plates lay flat and I don’t lose water anywhere. I only tacked & welded on top and on the outside edges, nothing underneath.

I ran some soluble coolant for my test cuts, dumped it, and switched to Borax. During this switch I also put some marine sealant on top of my welds for added security.

Hi guys, we are back. Haven’t been able to log into our computer to get on the forum (Grandma, grandkids and Kool-Aid don’t mix with computers) so have been watching from phones (not good at typing on phones). We received box 2 of 3,box 3 of 3 was supposed to have made it last night (due to weather was rescheduled for Monday), box 1 of 3 is scheduled for delivery for 1/14. THC was MIA but seems to be moving now and is scheduled for delivery 1/13. Order #194xx
We haven’t been able to much with the programs due to computer issues with Kool-Aid, but are very excited about receiving our table. We have been able to keep busy with research of mods (ie. one piece water table) and reorganizing the shop in preparation that the wait didn’t seem so long.
Can’t wait to try our table out and we already know that we will be on here asking for help (ie.QCAD and sheetcam issues). Thanks to all in this community ahead of time for your support and thanks to @Langmuir for giving people like us a affordable machine to do this with and the support team for always being available no matter what time of day (ie. 2am). Thanks guys.

Have fun! Keep the Kool-Aid away from the electronics box during your build!

Update on my end…things arrived finally on 1/11 and I’ve been slowly finding a few minutes to get things together here and there time permitting. Will likely take another week or two to get it all setup for a test run.

Looking forward to getting it together!

Is there a list of the boxes with sizes? I will have to transport my system to a final location once I receive it and I wonder if it can fit inside my vehicle or if I’ll have to get a trailer

What kind of car? I think all boxes would fit in a typical car.

That is why I was asking for box sizes. I have a roof rack, a cargo carrier, I can use the back of a SUV, with the dimensions I would be able to estimate

My boxes are long gone, but if they’d fit in a typical car I’d say your SUV, cargo carrier, and roof rack would suffice.

Just looked at my order details ,no dimensions listed on size of box. Should fit in vehicle .
