Anybody have this problem? I’m assuming it’s a squaring issue but I am not sure, holes and all circles are oblong
Cut speed 50 ipm at 45 amps, x45 torch
Are those actually oblong holes or is it caused by your lead in/out? Its hard to tell from the pic.
Generally what causes irregular shaped holes is mechanical backlash in the system. Check the following:
- lead nuts securely fastened to their mounts
- Motor couplers tight
- Y and X carriage bearings preloaded with zero backlash

.25 inch leadin. I will have to check and see if those three options fix the issue. Thanks @langmuir-daniel
