Got my machine today. Installed all the high power drivers but when I got it all ready to power up the machine will only Home in the Z direction.
The other axis just sit there not doing anything.
The drivers directions said to swap two of the wires in the plug. I switched them exactly how the photos and the directions said.
There were also programming switches on them which I made sure to leave alone.
Not sure if this is the issue but it’s the only thing I can think of. Everything else is hooked up.
P.S. I got the machine fully assembled if that makes a difference.
Test with a lower power driver on the X axis to see if it works. You don’t need to switch the wires around again, it will just go in the opposite direction you tell it to. If that works there is something wrong with your drivers. If you leave the power on for 10 or so minutes do the motors get warm? If not they are not getting any power.
Also follow the wires from the control board to the driver and make sure that you have the DIR wires plugged into the DIR port and the STEP/PULSE wires plugged into the appropriate port. It’s quite likely that you swapped these.

Just follow the color from XSTP to PUL- on the driver. If it doesn’t match then I bet you hooked it up to DIR-. Also make sure that you didn’t swap +/-, the control board is connected to the - terminals and the + terminals get a black wire.
