Man I get one issue figured out then another rears it’s head. Arrggg
I finally cut 2 16" signs and was all happy it worked woke up early today to cut and nothing happens. It normally shot air then arced. Now no air or arc. Arc light comes on in firecontrol, I can hear the click in control box. Have 50 psi air going into torch. I can hit the far right button on plasma and air comes out just fine. Try to manually fire with firecontrol and doesn’t work. Pull trigger on hand torch and works as it should. I’m lost. RazorCut45
Would say not enough air pressure
Check the torch firing wire where it connects to the control box and the plasma cutter. The fact that its making the relay click, but not firing the torch means that the connection between the control box and plasma cutter is broken.
Aside from that, 50 psi is not enough air pressure for reliable operation.
Will check the connections. I have tried up to 90psi same issue.
keep the internal reg to around 75-80 psi.
try shorting out the end of the torch fire cable with a paperclip to see if it fires… if it doesn’t then check for a loose wire.
Ds690 Thanks so much, I was hardly noticeable but there was a slightly loose connection on one of the wires. Had a blast cutting today, thanks for the help!
