Pro max upgrade is new linear bars, stantions, misc cables and such. Also, the larger water tray. For $1000. You would have to add these things to your existing table.
And I’m probably being a smartass in saying this but if you owned a Crossfire Pro from the start (years ago) then I’d say at the VERY least, you’ve done enough work to have paid yourself back for what you spent on the table.
I got into all this as a hobby and I’m on my 3rd CNC table, hell I even got a Titan press brake from the unintentional sales.
Assuming your table wasn’t sitting brand new in a box unused all this time.

I will be honest I was excited to see the upgrade. I want a XR but for now buying one doesn’t fit into my schedule ( not enough hours in the day to recover that kinda cash). I really don’t want to pay a grand to upgrade either. I can see the cost though. McMaster carr has 6 ft lead screws for 153 each that’s already a cost above 200 bucks. Then what does the water pan cost to make. It’s not a bad deal including everything.
I will say if I was going to spend that kinda money to upgrade I would build a 5x6 from scratch and use the fire control hardware and software.

A “build your own order” would be a nice option. For example, many of us either have the ability or have friends with the ability to provide our own water tray. I’d be interested in the cost W/O the tray.

Without the tray and computer. That would reduce the cost a great bit. I have a dedicated mini for mine.
I was in the same boat as others with the XR release. The day I received the last package of my pro was the day the XR was announced I nearly cried.
I dream of and can certainly use a larger cutting window. It will just take time to get there. I have already modified my pro so I actually have 36.375 in the y axis now.

AWESOME! I am for sure getting this new table and reselling my PRO. This will be my 3rd LS table! I had the original Crossfire, was one of the first to upgrade to the Pro, and now Im 100% going to upgrade to the Pro Max! Question. I already have auto THC on my Pro. Will it work with the Pro Max?

I believe it will. You will sell your pro faster with the THC, in my opinion.

Just got an email that the Pro Max site is live.
I’ll be putting in my order on May 19th when they start accepting orders.
I have an OG crossfire table with every upgrade, wish there was an upgrade option for us OG buyers to the pro max.
There is… the upgrade kit for the OG 2x2 is $3400.
