THC reads the voltage from the plasma cutter when cutting. Your plasma cutter cuts fine other wise there would be no voltage reading. If the plasma cutter did not cut there would not be voltage.

So the wires you connected to the inside of the plasma cutter should have a voltage reading when the plasma cutter is cutting. If there is no voltage reading you have something wired wrong.

If the wires have voltage then you have the THC wired wrong or the THC is bad.

post a pic of firecontrol. Are the thc and crossfire indictors on top right corner both green? could be that the drivers aren’t installed.

He posted this, But THC chip is solid red, is that normal? Never though about the drivers.

yeah i don’t think the LED indicator being on does anything. Just means that it’s plugged in correctly and getting power. The Driver is what tells firecontrol to communicate with the THC module.

I will double check thc driver

I had thc on prior table, would i need to download again?

maybe. just check firecontrol and see if both are green.

if you still have the old table you could swap the whole control box to test that out. they are the same box.

Drivers are installed. Same thing, 0 volts on thc test

Have you tested anything with a multimeter? A methodical approach to testing where the voltage is being lost should be the next step.

-test voltage at the end of the red and black banana plugs. If no voltage, one or both of the wires is not hooked up to the right spot. There is no way the torch can fire and not have voltage on those wires, if the wires are connected to the right spots. If the voltage is there, but negative voltage, you have the wires reversed and the THC will read zero volts.

-If you have voltage at the red and black banana plugs, plug them back into the VIM and test the output on the end of the wire that is connected to the PV out. Do that by putting one probe inside the barrel connector and one on the outside. You should get a very low DC voltage reading around +1.5 volts DC. If you get no voltage coming out of the VIM, the VIM could be damaged.

Did the New VIM box fix your problem?
