I was about to say the same thing. I think you are both advocating for the cut to be as quick and efficient as possible. Right?!

Might have to look into tapping into the torch fire signal to trigger a second relay to run a pond pump for flood coolant only while cutting. I do know that dipping the torch into a puddle on the material will succeed in getting liquid in the consumables and makes for bad juju.

Pond pump is too much water flow. You are better with around 40psi and a mister. I was thinking to access the trigger and put a solenoid but in practice I prefer the manual valve as I can leave it on longer after a cut to spray the part for cleaning and cooling.
