My CrossFire Pro Build

@felich could you provide any details of the screen mount? Did you drill though the rail?

I have the same mount and it will either clamp on or mount to a post. I imagine Jim used the clamp.

@ken

Way up at the top of this thread I show some details of the screen arm mount.
Here is the part that answers your question.

Jim, I’m new to the forum and anxiously awaiting my CF Pro which is supposed to ship this month. Until then I’m making a list of popular mods and other practices I can use. I really like your chain and brackets and am also interested in a set of brackets if you decide to make them. If not, since I have a 3D printer, would you be willing to share or sell your file? In the mean time I’ve ordered the necessary chains and extension cables.

Reply if you have any more questions.

Do you have a link or more info
for the water container you used?

Thanks, I had figured it out with one of the pictures.

I have a clearance height issue in my workshed due to a loft. I had to modify the cable arm tower to fit under. At first I cut the tube near the beam and used an inserted spring. The weight of the cables plus the movement of the axis’s pulled the cable down too low, I was afraid that it would get in the way of the work. What I ended up doing was adding some PVC sections, cutting the tower pipe into a few sections and adding some gantry carabiners and wire wrap. It works really well, allows for full travel and keeps the wires neat and out of the way. If anyone is interested I can share how I did this.

necessity is the mother of invention…nice work

I would get some tin on those walls to prevent burning and scarring…keep an extinguisher nearby…

Thanks! I actually move the table outside to cut, I attached a loading dock to my shed. I have diamond plate on the floor, just in case.

Diamond plate on the floor is very classy.

I much prefer Persian rugs. They’re so calming! Hard to take a snooze on diamond plate.

That was me.
I assembled it in the civilized portion of my Studio/Workshop.
It is now living on a concrete floor in my Metal Working building.

Guess you forgot it was this thread. You know what they say, your memory is the second thing to go…

Thanks for posting your H/W choices. I looked at the 15.3 monitor on Amazon for $270 but they also offered a 21" version for $209. Do you know of any reason not to buy the larger screen for less money?

ya get what you pay for…mostly…also the smaller screens are more popular…so they can bring more in at bulk rates…no one wants smaller screens anymore…so they bring up the price to keep the larger ones more popular.
