Multiple Work Offset Issue

I searched but didn’t find anything. Using Cut Control 24.11.
I finally had a break in some work where I upgraded. honestly don’t know if this was an issue in prior versions as I never tried. Anyway…

When running multiple offsets, G54. G55, G56 etc. When Probing each additional position, G55, G56, etc. to set x,y,z, (besides g54) after each probe routine it defaults back to g54.

For example, you select G55, run the X-Axis Probe routine. it completes the routine and changes back to G54. So you need to select G55 again, then run the Y-Axis Routine. It completes it then back to G54. Reselect G55 Run the Z-Routine. Reselect G55 and calibrate the toolsetter offset with the probe. Strangely after the calibrate it stays in G55.
Then Repeat the whole routine for G56 etc.
I know it seems like a strange complaint, but do that a few times a day with reselecting the offset you want to use and it’s really frustrating and adds a lot of steps to the process.

Anyone else experience this? Is it a known bug and we’re watiting for 24.12 or something? Or am I fighting a bug that needs a re-install?

It’s a long standing issue. It makes work offsets almost not worth the effort. Reverting back to G54 gets me every damned time when I set a new tool, and forget to double check. Broken a few tools that way.

Well, that sucks. Hahaha.
It’s pretty annoying. Certainly took me a few min to figure out what was going on.
I’m currently Running batches of parts and using work stops. So luckily once I set it up I can just reload parts and keep going. But when I need to Re-Zero for a different setup, it def. takes more time than necessary.

Well hopefully since it’s a known issue they’re hard at work to release a software update.

The new update is due “in a weeks rather than months”.

But they said that like a year ago. So don’t hold your breath. Honestly, cut control has been a failure for langmuir, and practically forgotten. They’re too busy supporting newer products to spend time supporting people who already paid. Hardware and mechanical issues they’ve been awesome about handling…but software is a tremendous flop.
