FYI, I have a 3080Ti with multi-monitors, never had a problem with Fusion. You’re right, its probably something else.
apy,
I had a similar (crash on start) issue once with a laptop.
I had to do this.
Edit the Environment Variable.
- Create and set Environment Variables using text file for Fusion.
- Enter “QT_OPENGL” within the Variable name.
- Enter “software” within the Variable value.
- Restart Fusion.
- If the setting causes further issues:
- Edit the newly created environment variable “QT_OPENGL” variable.
- Change the Variable value to “angle”.
- Restart Fusion.

Did a utility tool uninstall and reinstall, still freezing on launch, when the “grid” shows up. No menu up top.
I can minimize and reopen the app, but it’s “not responding”
What OS?
I think it was F360 stopped support on older builds of Win 10. Result was it would cease to function
I think…
There was a thread here about it sometime ago.
Well I’m on whatever “latest version” Win10 is.
It was a thought.
Fair enough. Maybe I just keep on with using fusion on the “work laptop” and designing on the desktop via onshape. Guess I may need to upgrade away from the laptop to a faster mini desktop for the garage. I’ve got a spare SSD with another copy of win10 on it. Just need to get the components together.
Those mini computers are pretty cheap Win pre installed.
I just got this mini (https://youtu.be/aGWrFeu8Hv0) and it is doing OK. Fire control with the game controller program, firefox, and runs Good. F360 for design tweaking or simple things you can feel it, but you are not watching the spinning wheel of pondering for minutes at a time. I still have my laptop in the trailer, if I need more heavy lifting, I will make the file then email it or USB transfer. I need to set up a LAN in there and see if the WiFi hotsopt will mix in.
