I’ve tried several operations in Fusion to mill the slit in this 6061 aluminum block and can’t seem to get it right. The closest I can get is using the Trace function. Can I get some suggestions? Thanks.

Post a pic. But just guessing if its a true slit do contour then select the bottom edges and extend your start and end distances.

Were you able to use Salemlakesarmory suggestion? I would mill it in the vertical position selecting the bottom of the slot sides , extending the start and finish distances and multiple depth passes.
