MR-1 Build Five

As @Scaxx said, there is a support rod you use to prevent sagging during pour and cure, but if you were worried about it, I suppose you could use the actual lift table during the pour and cure, just pressing it up to the base without lifting, just supporting. I would think that would serve the purpose as well. Disclaimer is I haven’t done my pour yet so this is all conjecture.

@Bigdaddy2166 would be nice to know from those that have done their pour of how flat the bottom of the base is post-cure.

Excellent points all around. Thanks for the feedback.

I’ll check it out for you in the morning.

Mine is perfectly flat. Just be sure to use the support rod per the instructions with a little preload.

Like JDE said it’s perfectly flat.

Finally got the concrete pour done on Monday and put the epoxy down today. Instead of the included gray tint, I used about 10ml of red tint. It gives a unique translucent look to the red where you can see the concrete underneath. If you want a solid color, definitely use more than 10ml. I think I’d have needed 20ml to make it solid red, but I like this look.

Nice, where did you source your dye?

Buy it on amazon mica powder dye. Free shiping if you are prime member
where i bought my neon green

That’s a good option too. I try to avoid my Amazon addiction where possible - lol. Ultra clear is free shipping too and only $6. And made in the USA

I wonder if the epoxy is thick enough embed led strip lighting into it? would be kind of cool to have lighting from below.
