Max thickness of epoxy?

I feel like ive seen this here before but i cant find it. I just poured my concrete and i used every bit of the 8 bags and im 1/4" short of the drains instead of 1/8". I have two of the epoxy kits, so i believe ill be good there, but my question is how much can i pour at one time. If i have a low spot, is 3/8" excessive?

It will probably be fine. The worry with epoxy is overheating. If you can run a fan to keep the epoxy cool, that can help. Or, simply do several thinner pours if you’re worried (pour each after the previous has crested peak temperature during curing, but before it’s fully cured.)

I flooded my epoxy a little over the drain height. Probably around .300" thick at least. Had no problems with it. I hit it with a heat gun a few times while popping the small air bubbles, but didn’t end up with any bad reactions anywhere.

We also haven’t noticed an issue when pouring thick epoxy coats. Are you a 1/4" short equally on all drains? One thing to watch out for would be flooding one of your drains if it’s lower than the others so be sure to add extra tape before pouring. Besides that you should be totally set with two epoxy kits.

So I ended up pouring about one and a half kits and had no problems at all. Thanks!
