So I’m getting closer to running my table. Made my first cut tonight with the strait cut feature in fire control which turned out awesome. Really like that addition. However my y axis lead screws both have pretty visible runout. The x axis runs very true. Wanted to see if anyone else had this and if it will be a problem
: trying to upload a video but haven’t figured out how just yet…

So until I figure out the video its probably .150 runout on one side and maybe .30- .350 thou runout on the other side.
Easiest to post to youtube, then link the video here.
Thanks I was afraid of that lol
See if this works. Cant seem to capture the severity in the video. But it is a bent screw or possibly and alignment issue
cant resist posting my first cut. Primeweld cut 60 maxed out on 110v so 30 amps at 30ipm
Is that runout or whipping? These leadscrews are pretty long.
Runout I’m assuming. It does it at all feed rates, just slower. And the longer although bigger diameter x axis screw is as true as can be to the naked eye
What I dont know is if it will effect the table or if I should worry able it. Seems like the backlash nuts would die pretty fast …
That’s pretty normal to be honest. I recommend running it and if you see any issues in cut quality let us know. Most have that amount of runout though.
Good enough for me. Thanks for putting my mind at ease.
