Hello, I’m interested in purchasing a Langmuir Systems MR-1 CNC Gantry Mill.
I read that pouring concrete is required to create the base, which struck me as odd. Please read it and let me know what you think. The entire system, minus the concrete and assembly, costs around $6,000.

so…first I have moved your post from the Crossfire section over to the MR-1 CNC Mill section…
please make sure you post in the right sections…it helps get the answers you are looking for…
next…why would it seem odd to have to pour concrete into that base…?
that is used to stabilize the entire CNC mill…if you were to pay for shipping and have the concrete already in the base the cost for shipping would make it way to costly.
leaving the concrete out will make it cheaper to ship…saves you money…
I think most of us on here, at least those interested, are aware of the assembly needed. I’ve watched the vids Langmuir has released within the last month or so, seems easy enough.
The need for concrete hasn’t swayed me. For the work envelope, apparent accuracy and price point, it can’t be beat by anything else on the market.
