Keeps cutting after it should shut off

This is after redesigned again and yes it is in 2t. Prime weld cut 60 only a couple months old and has done this from the beginning. Got a machine torch for it. Langmuir sent a new relay and board. Primeweld put a new cnc board in it. Langmuir told me they don’t know why it’s doing it. Was on the phone with them all last Friday. And that’s what he told me at the end of the day. The control box is new this last Fall. So my question is could the cord that goes to the on off that goes to the plasma cutter cause this. But does not cut all the way through most of the time.

Create a short test to run on some scrap. If it fails to shut off, post your GCode file here.

Like a box inside a box

Before anyone expends energy that won’t be effective, did you do anything that was suggested the last time you posted about this? L

Yes I have done everything. And like at the end of my post is a question. About the on off wire if it could cause this. That is why I posted. The guy at Langmuir thought it was the file so i sent it to him and all he could find was a few extra lines and he sent it back to me as a cut file and it still did it.

Try a completely different plasma cutter.

All I got is an old one and it’s a cheap one that’s why I got a new one. And it’s got its own problems.

If Langmuir and primeweld don’t know, it sounds like you’re cooked. Did you ever draw a simple box within a box and test that as asked?

no, I don’t think the power cord is doing this.

No not yet. I will though.

Do that. Post your design file, your cut file, and a video.

Ok I will can’t right now though.

Would it be a good idea for someone with a similar plasma make a simple design to let him test? Could possibly even be a cam issue.

With everything being pretty much new. I can’t see that i am cooked . The control box was new this fall. I mean that is what controls the table off of the g code. The table it self is older

@Wlcxbrd worst case scenario harbor freight has a small plasma some have used with success. It could be a semi expensive test though.

Can’t do that right now my job goes down to 30hrs for 4 months. Was hoping to get this going to make extra money.

I am confident there is an explanation but no one will find it without video chatting or standing in your shop looking at things.

Yes I agree and I just got into this last fall . So I am still learning Fusion 360. Up to designing the Volley ball haven’t had to many problems other then having a cheaper plasma cutter that would missfire a lot and I couldn’t get different size tips for it.

Unfortunately I got to get up early tomorrow. I should be able to make a small design with holes in it tomorrow afternoon and video it cutting. And post the cut file. Can you see the g code with just a cut file ?

The on/off wire could not cause this issue. Hook up your cheap plasma and try to cut it. Even if it misfires a few times, you will still be able to see if the late shutoff problem is caused by the Cut 60 or something else.

Most likely its the plasma cutter. The new Primeweld cut 60 has some troubles they need to address. The only other thing it may be is EMI.
