Hey, it has been a while since i have used my mill. i got a new computer and cannot seem to figure out how to post the processor in fusion? i follow the instructions, download the latest file, go into fusion, click on NC program, click on the output folder and it does not show any file type? and does not give me the option to change file type filter to find this file? is there another way to upload the post processor into fusion? i noticed fusion took away some of stuff i use to be able to do? any help would be much appreciated.
Here’s a link to Autodesk’s support article on how to install a pot Processor in Fusion 360.
https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-add-a-Post-Processor-to-your-Personal-Posts-in-Fusion-360.html
But I just walked through how to add the Langmuir MR1 Post so I’ll see if this helps.
Open Fusion go to Manufacture in the workspace drop down.
Then Click on NC Program from the toolbar.
In the NC Program window Click on the file folder at the right of the “Post” box. (file folder is highlighted with a blue box in the following photo.)
You should get a Post Library window to popup.
The Left hand column will show cloud, Local and Linked. We’re going to ignore linked.
If you use Fusion on more than 1 pc you’re going to do everything in Cloud. If you only work on one PC you can do it in local My example will be in local but same steps work in cloud. (because I already have the post in cloud).
From the Center column toolbar select Import (highlighted gray in the next photo)

It will launch a file explorer window. Navigate to the location that you saved the post file from Langmuir’s downloads website if you didn’t download it yet go here and download it
Now make sure the MR-1 CutControl post is highlighted blue. Click select at the bottom of the window.
You should end up back at the NC Program window. make sure you see the Langmuir Systems MR-1 in the post selector and click OK at the bottom of the page.
You can do this at any time in your drawing. Once the post has been imported you just have to select it when you want to use it.
Hopefully this helps. If not let me know where you get hung up and I’ll go into detail on that spot.
Good Luck,
Bruce
