Importing a Dfx file

If you buy a dfx file on line do you have to create the G codes in fusion 360 for it to cut. Sometimes I import a dfx file and when I open it it’s in word pad , how can I get it to load in 360

Here is where you can insert a DXF file in Fusion 360

Select Insert > Insert DXF

Normally We chose the Y-X plane

Then select our file.
