Machine sitting idle for awhile and just realized how hot the motors are. Figure they working for engaging/ breaking position but how hot should they get? Mine are more than warm.
It is usual for them to stay warm to hot. I make sure I kill the power when I am not using the machine.

They will get uncomfortable to hold your hand on for more than a few seconds, which is normal for stepper motors.
