I called RW. They answered the phone and walked me through my issues.
I just figured it out…I think. I’m about 99% sure there is a short inside the torch assembly. I took the handle apart but everything LOOKS ok. When running it by hand, I started manipulating the lead and I was able to get about an 8-10"cut before it shorted again
I recently bought Plasmadyn consumables that are a supposed to be a direct replacement for my Everlast 82i with PTM80 machine torch. The consumables are definitely low quality and off on tolerances. They will not even pierce, I change and put everlast supplied items back in and everything works perfectly. Not at all happy with Plasmadyns items or customer service. I’ve moved on to other sources, we’ll see how things go.
