My machine shut down during a 60 Tooth sprocket program with the G2, G3, G38.2 error code. I re-ran the program and it failed again on line 497 of my code. I am not sure what is causing this error. Designed in Fusion 360, CAM in Fusion 360. Anyone else have this code/system shutdown on the MR-1? The program simulated perfectly but crapped out in real life. I have been running this machine for a year, using the same programs and this is the first instance for this error. Any input would be appreciated. Tech support is non-existent.
G38.2 is a probing canned cycle. MR-1 doesn’t support canned cycles, let alone a canned probing cycle via G codes. Is this a plasma table?
No, this is on my MR-1 during a milling operation.
Can you post a snippet of the code around where it alarmed at?
My first guess would be a small arc calculation error that the MR1 isn’t liking. I’ve only run into that once when the arc was rounded to the tenth and didn’t line up exactly right. Just to rule out any program errors if you can drop a a snippet of the program here with about 5 or 10 lines before and after the alarn I will back plot it and see if anything looks odd.
This is a proven program or a new program?
New Program. I re-programmed using a smaller diameter tool and everything worked properly. I will work on getting a copy of the code and posting it here if anyone is interested in looking it over.
