Fusion 360 Designating a contour as either inner or outer

When selecting geometry i have not had a Arrow act like that. Does that happen often for you?
Thanks for posting

Not often. But too many times anyway.

Those arrows are all over the place for me. Sometimes I can click them multiple times trying to see if they are in or out and can’t tell. On cutouts that are close together, arrows sometimes appear in, or overlap, an adjacent cutout. I am going to play with screen resolution and see if that might help.

I try to use the toolpath image shown after Simulation to make sure they are all good. Still had some slip by and cut on the wrong side.

I also recently made a thread to show when I was working off-line, I had a new appearance to my toolpath that helped. Got no explanation as to why the image changed.

Well this would depend on your design. I have not cut only pretty simple shapes. The thing that I have not seen was a arrow so far away from the cut.

I get that on a regular basis. BTW, I am on the F360 “Personal Use” plan, not subscription. Not sure if that impacts arrow placement accuracy. Wouldn’t think so.

As I said above, I think I will try playing with my screen resolution and see if that helps. If it does, I’ll update my entries here in this thread.

The latest fusion 360 software update seems to have resolved this issue.

I am going to have some time later today to get in F360. I’ll check it out. Thanks.

As long as you have three or four years, you’ll be fine

You were correct. It was updated when I logged in yesterday. That is such an improvement.
