I assembled my PRO and connected to a laptop.
Ran fine(just JOG for now) but Firecontrol says needs to update firmware.
After updating firmware, everything takes 2-4 seconds to respond.
It was completely responsive prior, not a long delay which is untenable.
The laptop is Win 10 and the CPU is at 5% with 12 GB of RAM.
Why would the firmware go south like this?

Well, oddly enough I found a solution:
The LEFT side of the laptop has USB 3.0 ports and they all lag 2-4 seconds.
The RIGHT side of the laptop has USB 2.0 ports and they all have immediate responsiveness.
Dunno why, but I’ll stay with the RIGHT side.

That’s a really interesting find, wonder if it has to do with the USB controller itself (not the langmuir or the software)
Common thing I’ve told folks that can’t get a laptop to recognize their table is to swap USB ports. Different port groups will use different chipsets.
