FireControl 24.1.6 Open Beta Testing

I understood that as retract height in the +2 years of doing this.

I’ve just never heard the term rapid clearance height.

Thanks

@langmuir-zachary

I am kicking this back up, as it is driving me CRAZY!!!

Opening a file that has no THC points, gives you the warning that THC is enabled but no points.

Fine

Turn off THC, rotate the model 90*, generate,

“You have THC enabled but there are not THC points”

FireControl turned THC back on, so I can play whack-a-mole with the popup windows.

Turn THC back off, Select the program origin.

THC is back on, Error warning pops up whack-a-mole.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRGH

ALSO - Fix your post processor for F360. Simple files with circles only will not generate a program speed. Occasionally with other features included, but usually just circles.

I’ll definitely bring this up and keep note of it. On the F360 Post Processor, I’m aware of it and I know the last time I talked about it was a few months ago I believe. I’ll put it on my list of things to focus on in the short term and I’ll try to get back with a post soon.

@stick I remember we were talking about this last year

Yup, and a whole thread on the matter. Still not updated on Langmuir side, and right now the membership modified Post for pierce only is having problems after the last Fusion update.

But this is the FIreControl thread and wanted to just mention the Post issue while I was getting @langmuir-zachary attention about the Whack-a-mole.

It’s insult to injury when the mouse you are using is getting flaky on the movement and you have to keep moving to the acknowledgement button then back to the action button on the screen since the acknowledgement button does not default to selected so a simple “enter” on the keyboard will clear it.

Another one that I noticed @langmuir-zachary that caused my torch to travel 8” off my plate and dip the torch in the lake.

Using the manual override (speed, cut and pierce height…), when you generate and acknowledge that it will override the current program - it zeros the coordinate system to wherever the torch is.

I need to verify this as I was pressed for time and just started returning to work start pos before I changed the settings. Happened twice, and I am pretty sure I did not hit the remote control zero button.

***(combination of pierce only - which is still not working as it should without manual edit) and normal cutting requiring different pierce and cut heights.

Any ideas on this one? Won’t let me generate a straight cut.

Straight cut feature has never been an issue.

Make sure you are filling in all the fields correctly, and choosing the correct direction of cut. Once you generate, it will zero all axis at where the torch is.
