Fire Control Run from Line - SOLVED with FireControl update

The run from line / run from loop feature appears not to be working. I selected the line I wish to start from by clicking the orange word “loop” or “line” at the line of G code I wish to run from but nothing happens. Restarting, loading different designs and even deleting and reinstalling the Fire Control software did not fix the problem.

Running Version 21.1.5
Windows 10

Scroll with the mouse to the line on the graph and left click on it. I normally do a lead-in. Next you’ll need to click on the generate or generate program button which I believe is green on lower left. The one important thing is to go back to original zero. It’ll generate new program based off original spot.

Thank you Don P, I appreciate your response.

This is what I’ve been doing. I think what I am experiencing is the software locking up and when I left click on the line of code I want to generate nothing happens because the software has glitched.

Today, while trying to cut a different file, when I paused the cut and tried restart the cut I had to shut down fire control completely because most of the features had locked up. It did this 4 times while I tried to trouble shoot another problem.

I know this is all kind of vague. I’ll share a video showing what going on later today.

Much appreciated.

You might try one of the previous versions on the FireControl Download page:

FireControl-previous versions

Prior versions are known to be more stabile but have less features.

I dread the day I have to upgrade to windows 11… the older version won’t run on 11.

FWIW: I just got a new HP laptop with Windows 11 Pro and Fire Control 21.1.5 appears to be working very well.

FYI - I just ran into this yesterday. It appears the Run from Loop / Line is disabled in Dry Run. Don’t know if this applies to the original post.

Thank you @ChelanJim

This was the solution that worked for me. Fire Control. 21.1.4 Fire Control 20.6.2 couldn’t see the table but the aforementioned version worked as it should.

I appreciate those who help others. When things work it is a joy. When your breaking your head trying to figure what is not working correctly it can be frustrating.

Much appreciated.

Glad you got it working. Yes, very frustrating.

What I have discovered for myself is that most issues with this table resolves with something simple but it is always the “last” thing you try. If you know what I mean.
