Easy reach THC extensions

Ever have your THC act up on your Crossfire Pro? One thing to check is broken wires on the Zaxis. If you had it long enough you know what I’m talking about, if you don’t you will. I’ve had my pro since batch 1 so almost 6 years already. I decided to make extensions that moves the connection points to make them easy access. Once installed no more taking apart the Z in order to access the screws. No more spade connectors. And I changed the orientation of the wires to be vertical so they won’t work back and forth and break. They extentions are also terminal connectors so if the wires do break, just restrip the wires and stick them back into the holes. The extensions are 100% .06 brass, all milled on the MR1 and bent on the Titan. And they are insulated by ASA 3d printed material. They are available on my website so check them out! https://www.custommetalmke.com/product-page/crossfire-pro-thc-extensions

@custommetalmke great looking parts.

Does this kit also work with the updated z axis contact assembly? It looks like it will.

Yes it will work, people will just have to bolt through both of those pieces instead of our one piece. I may have to send along a longer bolt if clearance is an issue.

How do we obtain the updated z axis contact assembly?

The “updated” one is at least 3 years old.

My Crossfire with THC had the plastic setup, as well as my Crossfire Pro after it.

So I’d say you must be running something at least 3.5 years old or older? I’d just call Langmuir to buy one.

They offer that piece individually as mine arrived broken on my Z-axis assembly.

Looks good just ordered. My wire broke a few months back and I’ve been running on a makeshift crimp because I didn’t want to disassemble. Might as well for a good solution like this.

Thank you sir, they are on the way!

A little update. It was brought to my attention today that the newer style lead nut side wire is mounted on the side instead of the top of the lead nut. If you ordered from me and have the new style I will be making new pieces to accommodate the new design. Let me know if you have the new style and I’ll send you out a new one as soon as they are made. Very sorry for the inconvenience caused by this oversite. If you have any other issues reach out to me and we’ll get them workes out.

You mean the face of the leadnut?

Yes just like that. I have the original style that was mounted on top of the nut. I’m actually waiting on the guy to get back to me with the dimensions so I can make the updated parts. I need the distance from the center of the screw hole to the top of the lead nut. I think I can get around two different types by just adding the hole at the correct distance for mounting because the contact is still at the top and has nothing to do with the screw itself.

Ah gotcha.

I don’t know how long you’ve had your table but that style I pictured there has been going on for at least 3 years - I know this as I had it on my Crossfire (23” x 33”) from 2022 and my Crossfire Pro.

It’s the same one in my video I mentioned to ya on the Z-axis assembly in case your customers need it.

Yeah mine is a batch one machine. I’ve had it since February of 2020. Still going strong. I’m sure most of them are the newer style. Just gotta make it right. I’ve only sold 10 sets so hopefully it won’t be to hard to get the issue corrected.

Maybe a drop-down menu with Top mount (Pre 2022 or 2021) and Side mount (Post 2021 or 2022) with a picture of each leadnut bolt mount.
