I am using a xr with powermax 45, fire control using pre programming cuts from fire share. The table and drives are level and square, all belts are tight, it is not jerking or making noise but my cuts are oval shaped and off center. Max speed is 150, most cuts are around 100. See pics
Please share your cut file so we can see what the design was suppose to be, especially for the bottom image.
The top one is showing what may look like a stepping issue. The bottom one is showing some stepping issues but also looks like the lead-in is on the wrong side of some of the contours.
Check your stepper drivers DIP switches. They should all be in the same configuration with the second one down and all others, up.
Check the voltage of the power supply:
Adjusting power supply voltage.pdf (2.4 MB)
Need more info.
I checked all that and it is correct, what else can I check?
wow 6 months to reply…..ok…..how about posting your file so we can see if there is an issue with it
Continuing the discussion from Cuts not right, oval shaped :
Been waiting on a part. Which file are you referring to ?
this was posted to you in the very first reply, in the very first line…….
Check voltage from the power supply. Should be 36VDC.
Voltage is 36v, just changed dip switches from 2 and 6 up to 2 down all others up. Now it is going very slow and still cutting oval shaped.
On those dip switches, #2 is the only one that should be down. All the rest should be up on the Pro table.
Edit: I do not know how they should be set on the XR table.
It appears that the x axis is a little slower than the y axis, I have adjusted the dip switches with every configuration there is and it made it either too slow or too fast, the cuts were worse. I even cut a square shade and it is off by an 8th. Made sure table and axis are level and belts are tight. Is there some way to speed up the x axis without using the dip switches?
