CutControl Version 23.1.1 Beta Release! Includes RUN FROM LINE and MULTIPLE PROGRAM LOADING

That’s interesting, we did see this come up before during testing and fixed the code that was causing it. It must be coming from somewhere else so we’ll get a report sent to our programming team so they can give it another look.

I have also found that after doing a probing routing in a different work coordinate system it will immediately default back to the G54 work coordinate system. Be aware if you want to then run a tool height probing routine. Otherwise it has been a very nice improvement.

Yeah, this nearly bit me recently as well. Seems after any Move to Front op, probe, etc, the software defaults back to G54. Hopefully they’re addressing this. I can provide specifics if needed.

I’m quietly waiting for updates from Langmuir. I have yet to update CC on my machine, and after reading the things you folks were running into. I’d hate to go from software that I know what quirks to expect to a new version with its own set of bugs or “features”.
What’s the temperature of the room when it comes to the newer software? How has it been running aside from the stuff people have mentioned here?

For me it has been a very nice improvement. Loading multiple tool paths has really helped with workflow. The only issue was in respect to it reverting to G54. Now that I am aware of it, I can work around it easily. I am sure it will be addressed in the next update.

Anyone else notice that the Spindle 10% reduction now reduces the Feed rate and not the RPM??

Weird issue, But love the beta so far unfortunately had go back to 22.1. When I use the touch probe 1 in maybe every 4 touch probe cycle the machine will disconnect and need to rehome. which means I need to clean off the limit switches because I haven’t gotten around to upgrading them. I just noticed it after excursing my touch probe. is anyone else having that issue. Im more than willing to bet i have a oneoff problem

Yep. I’ve experienced that too. At least the 1% still works.

I ran into that as well.

I have seen a ton of issues with the re-home. A couple of days ago I accidentally hit the Z limit again and all of a sudden had to re-home. I can hit that switch 3 or 4 times and don’t have to home but then out of no where it calls to re-home. I have left the machine on overnight and come back in the next day and it has completely moved from its work zero .5" for no reason and had to re-home again.
I don’t know for sure but doubt its limited to just the probe.

Had one issue pop up last night, can’t remember exactly what I was doing as it was late, pretty sure it was during a send to front. I bumped an arrow key on accident, nothing happened but when I was done changing the tool an error was on the screen saying command couldn’t be processed or something and then I had no control over movement and noticed the y+ arrow was stuck on the screen. Had to completely restart cut control to get anywhere. Verified it wasn’t my keyboard or mini keyboard stuck also.

Just wondring if we had another update coming The original post said in a few weeks.

Nothing yet. We are waiting patiently. It is working good for me. Only the spindle speed override the X10 problem. The X1 works.

In my opinion, software support is where Langmuir falls on their face. For me the machine is great, the customer support is great, but the control software is severely lacking, and they don’t even talk about it. I’m considering a controller swap so I can get more configuration control and features that already exist and don’t require me to wait for langmuir to reinvent it.

I’ve been following this since October. One thing was mentioned that it would only take weeks not months to get the stable version of cut control. I think we need Maury Povich to tell us that proved to be false. Come on guys I know your busy with the Titan but don’t forget about us.

still waiting on that last paragraph

This is exactly why I changed to a different controller. There is a huge benefit to an open software that is customizable.

its on my short list., but it is a big undertaking. eventually ill get there

Any more information on when the next CutControl release is suppose to be? I has gone beyond weeks now.
