Crossfire XR delivery?

Hi there…I just received notice to make final payment on my crossfire xr. Has anyone else had one shipped to Ontario, Canada? If you have, what freight forwarder did you use to complete the delivery? Any information will be helpful…thanks in advance!

If you don’t mind me asking, what order # are you? Just wanting to get a general idea of how far away my payment email is.

I know you weren’t asking me but I thought I’d throw in. I ordered on May 4th and am order #44774. I got the payment email last friday and it shipped out a few days ago. It’s currently about 7 days out according to ABF’s website.

Haha! I feel the same way. Thank you for the reply. I am order #44698. I would think that I should have my email too right? Since my order # is lower than yours?

Actually, I just re-read your message, your order was placed on May 4th, mine was placed July 21st. I guess the numbering system doesn’t go in chronological order then. Thanks again :+1:

I ordered my XR on June 5th and paid in full on July 29th, just waiting for shipping, #44960.

Sweet, thanks for the reply. Sounds like I should expect about 1.5-2 months between deposit and full payment then. Running an OG crossfire currently, been a good machine but I’ve been long overdue for this upgrade. Eager to have a full size plasma machine in the shop!

When I bought my crossfire pro, it was over three months delivery, before the China flu outbreak…

From working at freight company i can tell you thst customer service can be lacking and if you sae how stuff was handled you would wonder how it made it in one piece. And the larger ones are union and while some of the drivers do honestly care many dont care at all and will not do anything extra for yoru shipment. Unfortunately these are out of the control of Langmuir. Hope everyone keeps getting their shipments safe and sound. Also if any doubt make the drive wait and open the shipment. They are required to wait a reasonable amount of time for this process. Take pictures as most larger freight companies can take pics at time of delivery so if they take pics and looks ok harder to file claim against them. I will give a huge shoutout to Langmuir for taking care of damaged shipments!!!

Oof, hoping it doesn’t take that long. But I’m patient, it will be worth it (I hope) regardless if it takes 3 months or not

My new crossfire xr is arriving Thursday of this week. New Hypertherm powermax45 xp come in today, went and picked it up at welding supply.

Anybody Know how shipping is on the XR’s I put my deposit last month and it show shipping in Jan.
It showed shipping in December when I ordered. I am so hooked on this stuff and can’t wait to have the XR. I have out grown the 2x2 really fast.

best guess is you will hear from LS at the end of the month on final payment. Mine was to ship last July and it was pretty much down to the final hours in the month IIRC. It was my first table, so the time to familiarize myself with the processes (and scour this forum) during the wait was a bit of a blessing.

It shipped last week. I am picking it up from the freight terminal in the morning.
I want to get my little table sold once the xr is together and working.

Excellent news. Take your time on the assembly. Tons of info out there and help here. I really enjoy my XR.

Opinions Please…
I’m selling my new XR and am wondering, through knowledge of assembly and possible transport after assembly, should I completely assemble or hold tight on the squared, level state of the machine thus far? I have held off on anything after setting the gantry. Water table and beyond have not been completed. Any thoughts would be appreciated!!

Kind of a catch 22 IMO. If you put it together then, you might be able to realize a bit more on the sale. However if I were a new buyer, I would rather have one without all the holes drilled/screwed into the water pan yet. I realize they assemble these and people come get them, but just knowing the design of the water table, the less time the XR is moved the less potential for leaks and binding.

Those are my thoughts, too, and is why I’ve not gone any further. However, I do know that I would have paid for the assembled option, had I lived closer to Texas. It’s admittedly a huge time commitment that can be tough! Thanks for the input! I’ll just wait and see what kind of interest I receive and in what condition it’s more marketable.
