Hello, I have a crossfire pro that will not move. Everything is updated and I tried a new power cord and usb to the laptop. The laptop shows it’s connected and shows as if the torch head is moving but it is not. Power supply and all modules have green lights lit. Green lights will flicker occasionally but only when usb is plugged in. Axis motors make no noise when powering up. Any suggestions ? Thanks.
@Grantd67 Welcome to the forum.
Can you take a picture of where everything’s connected on the power supply.
What position is the power supply switch in 110 or 220?
As @TinWhisperer points out, check the power switch setting, but, in a case like this, always put a meter on the power supply DC output. It should read 36V. Maybe a fuse is blown.
do you have limit switches installed? if so, is one of them being activated?
everything was working fine before, it’s been sitting about a year and when I went to use it again is when this issue came.
No limit switches installed.
Will do, it’s set to 110. I flipped it back and forth a couple times as well.
Check the DC power output. It should be 36v. They go bad.
As DS690 mentioned, check the voltage and if it’s way less that 36v, you can try to increase the voltage by turning the orange POT to the right of the green LED on the bottom left corner of the power supply. you can use a phillips screwdriver.
I had also assumed you being a new user and the langmuir box in the background of your second picture that this was the first time you operating your machine.
I’ll concur with everyone else that checking for 36 volts output on your power supply is a good start for troubleshooting this issue.
I got time today to check for voltage, now when turning it on my axis modules no longer have their green LEDs lit. They flash when I first flip it to on. When I flip the switch to off, about 5 seconds later the LEDs light for a second or two and go out. Showing basically no volts being sent out from the power supply. Guessing power supply is bad?Wasn’t sure before since everything was showing it had power still.
Thanks everyone for all the feedback and input!
