Hello everyone, I just finished setting up my crossfire pro. So my question is, the location I have the table is limited so I have the extended arms facing outwards. When I connect my laptop and use the jog function, the y axis is correct and works properly but the x axis is backwards when I’m using my arrow keys. I’m assuming that the table would be facing opposite and the front of the table would be the flat side of the table. Is there a way I can change the orientation of the table so now that the extended y axis is my forward facing? Does that affect my fire control program to now cut opposite or upside down? I ran a dry run and it looks like it’s upside down.
If your main concern is having the arrow keys move on the table the same way you’re facing it then you could get a wireless controller and set up the keypad to be keyed so the movements match up and then leave the table the way it’s set up from factory.
The bottom left hand corner facing the tables the default orientation but as long as you can keep it straight in your head where it’s at you should be able to plan with fusion 360s work coordinate system in a way that will land on the table correctly.
The flat side is the front. The side with the overhanging rails is the back and the “home” position is in the left rear of the work area.
The “home” position should generally not be used as the origin to run your programs. Jog the torch to where you want to start and zero all axis there for the work coordinates.
I just want to make sure that when I cut out words that it isn’t upside down. On my laptop it’s correct but when it cuts it cuts it upside down since the table is backwards. Does that make since lol
Everything is going to be rotated 180 degrees, unless you turn the table around. You’re also going to have a hard time changing consumables and even lining up the torch head where you want it.
