New to this world.
Got a used original legacy (no thc)
Downloaded fusion360 and mach3
Put the download file into mach3 for the crossfire off website
So , if I make a simple circle in fusion 360 run the simulation, it will show it cut. Put through post process ( only 11 lines of g code)
When I put it into mach3 it does not show the part in the view screen and will say “radius to end of arc differs from radius to start”
But if I do all the same steps in fusion but make it a square with a square hole in it , I can put in mach3 shows on the viewer and can cut it
If I do a square with round corners or a square with a hole in it I get same issues
I’m assuming I missing something. But have also tried some of the free dxf files on the site, and they won’t work when converted with lazy cam, or sheetcam
Kinda lost at this point. Thinking it’s a setting in mach3?
Mach3 is a demo but it’s not 500 lines for a circle
i believe there’s a crossfire/mach3 post processor for fusion as well that you need to use. i haven’t used fusion since i has the original table but i saw in the downloads section under legacy mach3 the crossfire PP for fusion.
Yeah tried to download the post processor for fusion and it’s the same one thats installed , just downloaded fusion this weekend.
Also I have tired other programs (qcad , autocad)to make files and then sheetcam (with mach3 no z selected)and also lazycam to do the tap files.
And all say same thing in mach3 when they have a round edge or circle in it. "Radius arc not at same point ect"and won’t show the preview of part on mach3
So I was thinking it was a mach3 issue possibly cause of multiple programs doing it.
I was going to try and reinstall all programs tonight maybe
yeah i have the crossfire profile loaded , asked me when you open, and i deleted the rest to make sure i didnt pick wrong one later. shows in the bar on the screen also.
Might not be a bad idea…
Plus, I’ve just been going off of memory here… I know there are still some Mach3 people around… I wouldn’t give up hope just yet… I’m sure they will chime in here eventually…
